71% Merlot and 29% Cabernet Franc form the assemblage that came in at 14.7% alcohol that will be aged in 40% cigar shaped barrels. Deep ruby in color the wine offers oak blackberry licorice and stone aromas. Fleshy in texture this soft ripe wine is filled with licorice black cherry spice and mocha.

An absolutely stunning wine from the Janoueix family, this dense, full-bodied, wonderfully floral and blueberry/blackberry-scented wine shows some toasty vanillin, but then hits the palate with a full-bodied thunder and cascade of glycerin and fruit in its luscious personality. The nose is a little taciturn at first but it develops nicely in the glass with pure dark cherries blackcurrants and dark plum. Good definition. The palate is full-bodied with dense slightly chewy tannins good acidity and a touch of spiciness on the dense "thick" finish. It will need some bottle age but it has good potential.
