This inky bluish/purple wine displays notes of camphor toast and spice box as well as black raspberry and blueberry liqueur. Full-bodied unctuously textured sexy and lush this is somewhat atypical of a 2010 in that it can be drunk when released and cellared for 10-15+ years.

This sexy with wonderful roses and fruit. So subtle and complex with super fine tannins and beautiful fruit.

This 3-hectare vineyard is split into sections one planted in 1901 in clay and limestone soils across the road from Grand Pontet; two other 40-year old plots located near Monbousquet in clay and siliceous soil. Net yields were just 26 hls/ha in 2010. Aging takes place in 60% new and 40% one-wine old barrels. The Lucia features aromas of spice red and black fruit and roasted herbs. The medium-bodied palate showcases flavors of cassis plum and boysenberry and the tannin and acidity have come together in a fine way that should resolve once bottled. This perennial favorite is set for a long life given the tannins and acidic nature of the wine. Drink from 2015-2025. Stéphane Derenoncourt who created this wine with owner Michel Bortolussi consults.
