Composed of 60% Merlot 20% Malbec 18% Cabernet Franc and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon it hit 15.6% natural alcohol but the wine is not hot because of the vintage's hallmark freshness and precision as well as good acidity. An opaque purple color is followed by blackberry charcoal and camphor notes. With excellent fruit intensity and medium to full body this sleeper of the vintage is capable of drinking well for a decade.

The nose is tightly packed with anise incense floral and a touch of cedar. Those aromas are mirrored on the palate which offers black fruit and a rich creamy texture that finishes with rounded tannins. This will need a few years in bottle to soften up.
