Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, December 2012

The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is full of freshly cut flowers, violets, menthol crushed rocks and dark red cherries. There is a level of freshness and pure vibrancy in the 2010 that previous vintages don’t have, most...

Wine Enthusiast, July 2013

A big, rich, vital Cabernet with immediate attraction that is deceptive. Sure, you can enjoy it now, while it’s brimming in cherry jam and red and black currants with a finish of rich, caramelized oak. But it will soften...

Wine Spectator, January 2013

Complex and deftly balanced, this offers a firm, dense mix of loamy earth, classic dried herb, currant, anise and tobacco leaf. Ends up finishing like a classy Bordeaux. Drink now through 2024. – JL

Round Pond Estate, owned and operated today by the second generation of the MacDonnell family, is a modern farm and winery located at the Rutherford crossroads between Beaulieu Vineyard and Caymus, in the heart of the Napa Valley. The winery produces pure, expressive wines in their state-of-the-art winemaking facility from 362 acres of Rutherford vineyards which are primarily planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. The estate also includes 5 acres of gardens, 12 acres of olive orchards, and one of only two olive mills in the region.

The high quality Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, artisan olive oils, red wine vinegars, and flavorful citrus syrups of Round Pond Estate reflect the MacDonnell family’s dedication to sustainable farming and production. They have made their farm-to-table philosophy a way of life and together with their Estate Chef and Master Gardener, the family enjoys nothing more than sharing the bounty of the farm with guests. They are excited to offer extensive visitor programs that provide a range of inviting “live like a local” experiences.
