A blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc aged in 80% new oak the 2010 exhibits a dense purple color abundant black fruit characteristics undeniable sucrosity a big juicy texture beautiful purity and a long finish with the oak present but subtle. It will probably reveal more tannin after bottling and should age well for 15 or more years.

Quite ripe with an almost sweet feel to the blueberry blackberry and boysenberry notes. This has a very creamy and flattering mouthfeel but there's freshness as well buried on the finish and adding length. -J.M.

Some mineral and blueberry character. Full body firm tannins. Not giving that much now.

Potential blend of 80% merlot and 20% cabernet franc. On the nose Bing cherry and turned earth emerge while the medium-to-full-bodied palate is elegantly flavored with hoisin boysenberry and a touch of caramel. With tannins leading the way the wine ends in a rich finish. Wonderful wine another fantastic vintage for Le Carre from Jonathan Maltus. Begin drinking 2018 and enjoyable for the following 2 decades.
