jamessuckling.com, January 2015

Fabulous aromas of dried rose petal, orange peel, oyster shell and hints of dark fruits. Full body, very fine tannins with a mineral, berry and orange-peel and Tuscan-dust undertone. A structured, salty, savory finish...

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, February 2015

Castello Banfi's 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is one of the ripest wines I have tasted from this vintage. The bouquet opens to chewy tones of cherry or raspberry preserves with dried prunes and figs at the back. This is no...

Wine Spectator, June 2015

Aromas of eucalyptus, baked plum, leather and licorice complement the chocolate, leather and tar flavors. On the savory side, with dusty tannins finishing balanced and long. Best from 2016 through 2028. 48,500 cases...

Castello Banfi, a family-owned wine estate in the Tuscany region, was founded in 1978 by Italian-American brothers, John and Harry Mariani.

The Banfi territory encompasses 7,100 acres of land in Montalcino, of which about one third is planted with Sangiovese, Moscadello and other notable varieties on extremely rich and uniform soils of clay and calcium.

Banfi Piedmont was founded with the acquisition of the historic Bruzzone winery. The holdings there extend between the towns of Novi Ligure and Acqui over an area of 124 acres of which 114 are under vine.

The Banfi vineyards in Bolgheri, located south of Castagneto Carducci, give life to the prized Aska, bringing together intensity, roundness and structure.

Banfi also manages 100 acres of specialized vineyard in Chianti which bequeaths wines that bring together structure, elegance, and typical Tuscan personality.
