The estate's luxury cuvee the spectacular 2010 Le Bourg (made from yields of 19 hectoliters per hectare and composed of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc) is one of the finest Lalande de Pomerols I have ever tasted. All of this is attributable to the new proprietor Silvio Denz (who also owns Chateau Faugeres in St.-Emilion and Cap de Faugeres in the Cotes de Castillon). This impressively endowed 2010 exhibits an opaque purple color along with big sweet aromas of charcoal graphite blackberries and cassis. Full-bodied and unctuously textured with high tannins lots of glycerin (14.5% alcohol) and excellent purity this stunning wine can be drunk over the next 10+ years.

Made from a small parcel of the estate. This tastes like outstanding Pomerol. Full and super silky with lovely tannins and a solid core of fruit.

Yields were impressively low at 19 hls/ha. The wine will be aged in 100% new oak. Deep purple colored with plum licorice floral and truffle aromas the wine offers rich textures round sweet plum and chocolate flavors and a long black and red fruit finish.

Originates from a special 0.7 hectare plot in the Chambrun vineyard. 14.5% alcohol. Much like the Chambrun this special cuvée displays abundant sweet and ripe dark fruit on the nose but with more depth to the aromas and a better defined sense of terroir. Dense and concentrated on the palate this is a super silky wine with superb length. Blackberry and black cherry flavors pick up espresso and earth notes on the back end. Fine sweet tannin and refreshing acidity will make this a winner for 15+ years. Michel Rolland consults on this small production of 150 cases.
