The 2010 Chablis Vaillons offers up gorgeously intense hints of lemon butter smoke and spices. It shows marvelous energy and vibrancy as layers of beautifully delineated fruit continue to emerge from the glass. The wiry taut finish will require patience but also bodes quite well for the future. The Vaillons was partly aged in oak (38%) which still needs time to integrate. Moreau owns five parcels in Vaillons which are vinified separately for this bottling. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2025. --- Antonio Galloni
