Cassis, blackberries, spices and slate are woven together on the cool, piercing finish. This is a wine for the darkest part of the cellar. Dujac’s Charmes is two-thirds true Charmes and one-third Mazoyeres. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2040.- AG

Here too there is discreet wood serving as a backdrop to the notably ripe cassis, black cherry and distinct floral elements. There is good energy and punch to the medium-bodied flavors that possess excellent depth and concentration while displaying a very firm, detailed and irreproachably well-balanced finish. The basic personality is on the restrained side with plenty of classic Gevrey character and while the Combottes is a lovely wine, there is just another dimension present here.
