It is always a good sign when the Drouhins decide to bottle their les Baudes on its own rather than blend it into the Chambolle "Premier Cru" bottling as this wine is only bottled on its own in what the family thinks are... It is always a good sign when the Drouhins decide to bottle their les Baudes on its own rather than blend it into the Chambolle "Premier Cru" bottling as this wine is only bottled on its own in what the family thinks are truly great vintages! The 2010 is a superb bottle in the making delivering a complex and sappy bouquet of red and black cherries a touch of plum raw cocoa a great base of soil woodsmoke and fresh herbs in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep full-bodied and very pure on the attack with a sappy core of fruit beautiful focus and balance suave tannins and exceptional length and grip on the very transparent and bouncy finish. A classic bottle of Chambolle. 2016-2045.
