jamessuckling.com, October 2015

Wonderful aromas of dried mushrooms, flowers, plums, nuts and cedar. Complex. Full body, firm and silky tannins and a long, flavorful finish. I love the finish. Such elegance. Racy and very long. Superb. What a wine. I...

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, March 2016

The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is a wine that shows immense harmony and inner poise. The powerful vintage is elegantly tempered in this expression thanks to the flowing and musical nature of the aromatic...

Wine Enthusiast, May 2016

The nose is still a bit closed but eventually reveals black-skinned berry, dark spice, iris and a whiff of tilled soil. The palate is more expressive and downright delicious, offering juicy black cherry, raspberry jam...

Wine Spectator, April 2016

Saturated with ripe cherry, plum, dusty cocoa, tobacco and tea aromas and flavors. The solid tannins provide support but don't get in the way of the fruit and savory components. Finishes long and expansive. Best from 2019...

Jancis Robinson's Purple Pages, January 2016

Tasted blind. Heavy bottle! Dark ruby with bright orange rim. Compact, firm nose and concentrated, elegant palate that still holds back. Quite precise, succulent finish that oozes style. (WS) (17.5/20)

Fuligni is a family-owned estate on the eastern side of Montalcino. The vines, which extend over ten hectares, are primarily located at Cottimelli with altitudes varying from 1,250 to 1,500 feet. Average age of the vines is about twelve years with some dating back more than thirty years. The estate’s four vineyards are planted with Sangiovese, complemented by a small portion of Merlot.

The Fuligni range consists of the regular Brunello, a Brunello Riserva, a Rosso (Ginestreto), and an IGT Toscana made from a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot.
