An elegant pure and perfumed nose features layered aromas of violet plum earth and cassis with a background hint of stone. There is good richness to the round supple and rather fine flavors that possess fine balance and a delicious finish of limited complexity at least at present.

The 2010 Savigny-Les-Beaune Les Peuillets is a gorgeous complete wine. Freshly cut flowers raspberries and sweet spices are woven together beautifully in this textured Burgundy. I especially like the way the aromas and flavors meld together in a seamless fashion yet are supported by the energy and vibrancy of the 2010 tannins. This is a striking effort. The 2010 harvest started on September 23 with this parcel. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020.
