Meaty nose with dark ripe fruit and a touch of smoke. Opens up with violets, chalk and cherry blossom. Full-bodied and intense on the palate with polished tannins and a long soft finish. Juicy and pure. Drinks well... Meaty nose with dark ripe fruit and a touch of smoke. Opens up with violets, chalk and cherry blossom. Full-bodied and intense on the palate with polished tannins and a long soft finish. Juicy and pure. Drinks well already, but will of course soften with time. Second wine of Pomerol's sensational L'Eglise Clinet. Better in 2017.

100% merlot. The bouquet slowly opens to reveal seductive aromas of bacon soy and fennel supported by polished oak. The medium-weighted fruit is pure with underlying structural components that create a firm backpalate... 100% merlot. The bouquet slowly opens to reveal seductive aromas of bacon soy and fennel supported by polished oak. The medium-weighted fruit is pure with underlying structural components that create a firm backpalate linked to the fine tannins on the finish with just the right amount of soft concentrated fruit. Seamless and showing great balance and finesse the focus here is on supple structural elements that bode well for cellaring. Drink through 2031.
