This is intense and chewy with a pretty berry character and an impressive tannin finish.

Its deep ruby hue is accompanied by caramel sweet berry raspberry and currant notes intermixed with a hint of oak medium-bodied flavors silky tannins and surprising depth. A sleeper of the vintage it should be consumed over the next 3-4 years.

Harvest ran from the October 8th to the 22nd and yields were only 27hls/ha. Aged one year in 25% new oak.Precision and concentration take center stage with aromatics of candied plum licorice and olive tapenade. Blackberry fills the entry followed by wet stone and shaved black truffle. Overall the texture is amazingly silky with a bone-dry finish. Drink 2015 to 2020. Derenoncourt consults.
