On the nose, with its cedar, tobacco leaf, smoke and cassis profile the wine smells great. Medium/full-bodied, with ample currants, spice, wet earth and blackberry on the palate, the wine offers freshness, lift and a nice, firm, tannic backbone. At 10, this is drinking just great. My guess is, there is enough gas in the tank to go another decade. 93 Points Read more at:https://www.thewinecellarinsider.com/wine-tasting-note/?vintage=2010&wine=Les%20Pagodes%20de%20Cos

The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, quite Pauillac in style with pencil lead/graphite notes infusing the black fruit towards the finish that shows good body and persistence. Excellent. Wine Enthusiast, May 2013
This big, rich, chocolaty wine is powerfully built with considerable extract. The wine is huge and solid, its tannins extreme and dense. At the same time, the juicy blackberry fruit drives the wine into an opulent aftertaste.

It is now at a great moment to drink, reflecting the quality of the 2010 vintage, and the increased precision that was possible in Pagodes at this time, three years after the opening of the new gravity-fed cellar.

A wine with plum, spice, and currant character with full body, and silky tannins. Lovely texture to this wine. Give it a year or two to soften. Second wine of Cos. Better in 2015.

Medium to full-bodied, the palate offers just enough fruit to fill the structure with bold freshness and a firm, chewy texture, finishing on a stewed tea note.- LPB

The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, crisp acidity with a slightly bitter finish that needs just a touch more persistency. Otherwise, this is just very fine for a second label.

Pleasantly firm, open and accessible, this is engaging and lively but a bit shy on stuffing overall. Drink now through 2023. –JM
