The 2010 Chambertin bursts onto the palate with rich layers of cassis spices licorice and white flowers. It boasts gorgeous textural depth and richness in a round voluptuous style that covers every corner of the palate. The Chambertin is one of the bigger racier Grand Crus from this property. There is so much fruit that the perception of tannin is virtually non-existent but there is plenty of underlying structure. A huge explosive mineral-drenched finish rounds out the stunning finish. This is a marvelously complete wine with all of its elements in the right place. Anticipated maturity: 2025-2045. --- Antonio Galloni

This is also distinctly cool and reserved with an ultra-pure nose of extract of stone and airy red pinot fruit aromas. There is an almost painful intensity to the overtly muscular and big-bodied flavors that possess superb mid-palate concentration. Indeed the dry extract positively coats the palate and buffers the extremely firm tannins such that this seems much more forward than it really is. The finish just goes on and on and I found this classically styled Chambertin to be breathtakingly good - just be aware that it's pointless to buy this unless you intend to age it as it won't be a good candidate for early consumption. - Comments: Don't miss!

Deep aromas of red berries cherry smoked meat and earthy underbrush. Big rich and deep; this large-scaled powerful wine expands impressively in the mouth. Offers a saline sappy impression of extract and outstanding energy. Finishes dry and savory with palate-staining cherry and soil flavors and great uncanny lift. A headspinning old-style Chambertin in the making.
