More perfumed on the nose than the Guettes offering aromas of redcurrant graphite and spices. Lusher in texture too coating the palate with sappy dark berry and bitter chocolate flavors framed by harmonious acidity. Finishes broad dense and long with dusty tannins and a late note of bitter chocolate. A bit more muscular than the Guettes but not at all rustic.

An admirably pure and well-layered nose of plum black cherry and Savigny style earth merges into very rich and round flavors that possess excellent volume and plenty of mouth coating extract. The moderately firm tannins are well-integrated and there is so much concentration that this beautifully complex effort will drink well young or benefit from up to a decade of cellar time. - Comments: Sweet spot Outstanding ♥

The 2010 vintage will be the last for the Narbantons from Domaine Pavelot as the vines are owned by an extended family member who wishes to make the wine for themselves in the future. It is a lovely last vintage for Narbantons chez Pavelot as it offers up a complex and quite elegant nose of black cherries cassis incipient notes of game a touch of currant leaf fine minerality espresso and a discreet base of new wood. On the palate the wine is deep full-bodied and quite refined on the attack with a good core of fruit and still a bit of gas from the late malo in evidence on the long and ripely tannic finish. This will clearly be very good indeed.
