This is also quite deeply colored. An open nose offers up notes of ripe cherry raspberry subtle spice and Nuits style earth hints that also suffuse the delicious forward and easy-to-like flavors that possess reasonably good length but not quite the same depth as the best of these Nuits 1ers. To be sure this moderately firm and mildly rustic effort is very good but it's not truly distinguished.

Good red-ruby. Expressive aromas of blackberry and violet. Fat creamy and sweet with lovely lift but only modest complexity to the dark berry flavors. Finishes fresh and persistent with firm tannins dusting the teeth.
