93+ I was delighted while tasting the 2011s out of barrel chez Gouges to have the opportunity to revisit a few of the domaine’s great 2010s. The 2010 Pruliers is quite closed at the present time (not surprisingly!), but shows off outstanding potential. The excellent nose wafts from the glass in a classic blend of cassis, black cherries, a touch of plum, venison, dark soil tones and bonfires. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bdoied and very young, with a rock solid core of fruit, tangy acids, fine focus and a long, primary and very chewy finish. This will be a great vintage of Gouges Pruliers, but it is going to take some cellaring.
