The 2010 Morey St. Denis Aux Charmes shows gorgeous aromatic lift and sheer energy. Deep spiced notes meld into black fruit mineral and flowers as the wine opens up in the glass. The Charmes is beautifully focused and articulated throughout but it will require some time in bottle before being fully ready to drink. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2025. --- Antonio Galloni

This is also beautifully layered with fine aromatic depth that includes fresh and cool red berries earth and a touch of floral influence. The medium weight flavors are quite supple and round and while they are by no means soft they are certainly more approachable than the other Morey 1ers in the range. I very much like the sense of poise and balance here plus it should also repay mid-term cellaring.
