Reticent, slightly reduced aromas of redcurrant, raspberry and sexy smoky oak. Silky on entry, then lush, broad and dry in the middle, with red fruit flavors accented by mineral and spice components. Seriously layered, long pinot noir with fine-grained tannins and lingering spices. And not at all a sweet style.

Plum and light caramel with hints of smoked meat. Full and very muscular with flexing muscles, yet tone and beauty. Refined on the end.

Produced in tiny quantities of just 100 dozen 750ml and 225 magnums, the 2010 Bendigo Estate Pinot Noir has a deep ruby-purple color and notes of crushed raspberries, red cherries and red currants over violets, dried Mediterranean herbs and black pepper. Medium bodied, it has a good amount of savory / earthy flavors supported by a medium level of chewy tannins and crisp acidity, finishing long. Drinking now, it should cellar to 2016+. 91+ - LPB
