Juicy intense and sharply delineated; tighter than the Epenots and showing a strong element of gamey reduction. Finishes with firm but suave tannins and slowly building saline and mineral flavors. Expressive already but quite taut. The sand and gravel soil is responsible for the saline quality notes assistant winemaker Eric Germain.

Firm concentrated and solid this has a tight core that's surrounded by sweeter dark-plum fruit. This is ripe and full bodied with a definite need for aging.
