The natural elevated ripeness of Bressandes is on display here as it's noticeably riper than the Chambertin with its kirsch and blue pinot fruit liqueur nose that is spiked with soft mineral and earth hints. There is a rich round and very fleshy feel to the medium-bodied flavors that possess fine concentration and admirably ripe supporting structure before terminating in a powerful focused balanced and solidly deep finish. This is good stuff and textbook Bressandes. - Comments: Sweet spot

Captivating nose offers red fruits, flowers and minerals. Broad and full without showing any heaviness--and more savory than sweet--but utterly young now and in need of at least eight years of cellaring to fill in. Seriously rich in extract, with black cherry and spice flavors emerging and gaining sweetness with air. Finishes firmly tannic, tactile and very long.

The purity of the aromatics is found in the reticent yet serious nature of the bouquet; this is at once very dark fruited yet backwards. Aromatically this offers galets and minerality in spades. Classic terroir follows on the palate as this is decidedly masculine. The body grip dark pinot fruit mineral spice and acidity and very well balanced here and offer a terrific example of this place on the Corton hill top. Three minute finish. Outstanding. 93+
