The 2010 JC Vizcarra also 100% Tempranillo was aged 15 months in French and American oak. A truly great wine it boasts a dense purple color along with notes of camphor creme de cassis licorice damp earth and forest floor. The beautiful fragrance is accompanied by a wine with a full-bodied opulent texture and a voluptuous luxurious mouthfeel as well as finish. Drink this beauty over the next 7-10 years. - Robert Parker

This 100% tempranillo demonstrates why this noble varietal excels in Spain. Like nebbiolo in Piedmont it offers its best expression in its native soil. Like nebbiolo in Piedmont it offers its best expression in its native soil. Boasting fresh strawberry aromas intermingled with dried rose petal the perfume is nothing short of intoxicating. Lively and full of vigor showing hints of forest floor graphite and wood smoke. Finely focused with piercing persistent notes of persimmon on a roasted spit wrapped in bacon fat. This ready for dinner.
