Jancis Robinson - Jancis Robinson's Purple Pages, January 2014
Massive interest and concentrated pear-juice character. Very round and dense. Really rather beautiful wine. Finishes quite dry. Hugely appetising. Texture on the finish. 18.5/20

Lush and captivating, showing layers of pineapple, peach, passion fruit and mango entwined with one another and carried by a bright green almond note through the finish. Not shy on depth, but offers a decidedly prettier style of Sauternes in this largely power-focused vintage. Best from 2015 through 2028. – JM

That doesn’t detract from its fine, botrytis texture, core of acidity and dried apricot flavors. It’s a wine that needs to come out of its shell, so don’t drink before 2018.

The La Tour Blanche 2010 has an outstanding bouquet with beautifully defined aromas of dried honey, peach skin, melted wax and butterscotch – linear, taut, and focused in keeping with the vintage. The palate is beautifully proportioned with that thread of acidity interwoven through the botrytized fruit. This is a Sauternes with volume and dimension and yet I am seeking more persistency on the finish, because it feels like the job is done too early. This is a good wine that dare I say, could have been even better with more ambition. - NEAL MARTIN

Sweet flowery nose with honeysuckle, white peach and candied lemon peel. This Sauternes is very sweet and well-structured on the palate with a good acidity and pure white fruit. Elegant and charming. Drink now or hold.

Planted to gravel with clay-limestone subsoil. Tight and not yielding much at this point the nose does show bright citrus notes candied lemon peel and a light hint of botrytis on the nose. The palate with medium weight offers good acids that carry the light citrus fruit which lead to spicy botrytis on the clean quick finish. Enjoy through 2030.
