From the estates finest lots and a blend of 100% Grenache that’s aged for 17 months in oak hogsheads, the 2010 Two Hands Grenache Aerope is an impressive Grenache that boasts complex aromas of sweet kirsch and blackberry styled fruits that are intermixed with more savory characteristics of Provencal herbs, fresh flowers, white pepper, and roasted meat on the nose. Perfumed, vivacious, and intense, this hits the palate with a medium to full-bodied texture, loads of sweet fruit, and edgy, borderline tangy acidity that comes through on the mid-palate, and even more on the finish. Nevertheless, this builds on the palate, has fantastic richness, and more than enough depth to evolve gracefully for upwards of a decade. If drinking anytime soon, a short decant is recommended.
