Deep, dense purple-crimson; the palate is as luscious as the colour suggests, with waves of predominantly black fruits rolling through new and used French oak, and ripe tannins. Carries its alcohol with ease, and has line, length and balance.

A terrific value for the price, this is a full-bodied, richly textured Shiraz that looks capable of aging through at least 2025. Blueberry and baking-spice notes show the way, leading into a long, dusty finish that would go well with steak or roast beef.

Deep purple-black colored, the 2010 Gold Label Shiraz has pronounced notes of blackberry preserves, freshly crushed blackcurrants and baking spices with hints of cinnamon stick, cloves and vanilla. Full-bodied and densely packed with ripe, rich, black fruit flavors that are accented with a nice, spicy undercurrent, it has medium to firm, velvety tannins, refreshing acid and a long finish.
