A step up over the 2010, the 2011 Sestina is brilliant stuff. A similar blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc, it’s more youthful and vibrant, with beautiful currant fruits, notes of damp earth, green tobacco, and spring flowers, medium to full-bodied richness, and fine-grained, integrated tannins. It’s drinking beautifully as well and also has another decade of longevity.
