Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, April 2012
The Bastor-Lamontagne offers a more exotic bouquet that its peers with subtle tropical fruit aromas mingling with kiwi fruit and even a hint of toffee apple. It is well-defined but it needs to develop more intensity... The Bastor-Lamontagne offers a more exotic bouquet that its peers with subtle tropical fruit aromas mingling with kiwi fruit and even a hint of toffee apple. It is well-defined but it needs to develop more intensity during maturation. The palate has a spicy entry with mint-tinged honeyed fruit that leads to a precise mineral-rich focused finish that offers a touch of shaved ginger on the aftertaste. This is an intriguing Sauternes that should age with style and may offer more after bottling. Drink 2014-2028.

Shows plenty of dried pineapple and honey character with apple pie too. Full body medium sweet and a fresh finish.

A bright floral style offering friendly peach apricot and tangerine notes with a floral-tinged finish. This open-knit version should be ready to go when bottled.-J.M.

Medium-dark yellow-gold. Rather subdued aromas of peach pear marzipan and vanillin oak. Suave smooth and focused on entry then turns a bit austere in the middle displaying lovely purity of apple guava and pear flavors... Medium-dark yellow-gold. Rather subdued aromas of peach pear marzipan and vanillin oak. Suave smooth and focused on entry then turns a bit austere in the middle displaying lovely purity of apple guava and pear flavors with nicely integrated acidity. Finishes long but a bit dry: this could have used a bit more residual sugar for better balance. I always love Bastor-Lamontagne's restrained style but in 2011 it is dangerously close to lacking flesh.

Pale green-gold color. Abundant lemon rind and Meyer lemon curd aromas underscored with spice on the nose. Medium in weight this is on the brighter side with a moderate concentration of sugars strong but not overbearing botrytis flavor and lots of clean fresh acidity on the finish. Enjoy over the next 10 years.
