Very sauvignon blanc nose of gooseberry grapefruit and white flowers. Then more semillon-dominated in the mouth displaying a rich texture and a waxy white peach quality on the bright fresh palate. This very successful white wine is crisp and fresh but also has sneaky concentration. Jean-Guillaume Prats told me that the northern exposure of the vines and their proximity to the Gironde allowed the white grapes to weather the two scorchingly hot days at the end of June. Made from fruit picked in three passes on August 29 September 3 and September 10.
