Wine Spectator - Wine Spectator, April 2012
Very lush yet pure offering terrific mouthfeel to the boysenberry plum and cassis fruit flavors that are well-focused through the finish with floral and red licorice hints checking in. This is off to a lovely start.-J.M.

A wonderful red for the vintage with plum, berry, chocolate and toasted-oak character. Full body, integrated tannins and a velvety texture. Wow. Try it in 2017.

The 2011 Faugeres is a very strong effort, which is not surprising given the profound quality of Peby Faugeres. This bigger cuvee exhibits a dense ruby/purple color as well as lots of sweet black cherry and black currant fruit intermixed with hints of licorice and incense. Full, rich and layered, this up-front, gorgeous 2011 should drink well for 12+ years. It is a sleeper of the vintage. - Robert Parker

Purple core with a red rim. Plentiful cardamom and other spices on the nose along with red fruit and limestone aromas. Medium bodied the palate features ripe cherry and strawberry flavors somewhat grippy tannins and a consistent backbone of acidity that carries through to the finish. Needs time. Try in 5-6 years and over the following 10 years.
