While it will not make anyone forget the estate's brilliant 2009 or 2010 the 2011 is an elegant pretty effort that appears to still be going through malolactic based on some of the carbonic gas I picked up on the palate. That means this cuvee should fill out and become richer over the next 6-12 months. No wimpish wine at present it offers lots of blueberry black raspberry and crushed rock/mineral-like characteristics moderate tannin and good acidity. It should turn out even better than my range of scores suggests. This impressive blend of 83% Merlot 15% Cabernet Franc and 2% Malbec was cropped at 20 hectoliters per hectare.
