The most limited cuvee is the blockbuster 2011 Les Portes de l’Am (50% Merlot, 25% Malbec and 25% Cabernet Franc). This offering takes the charm and early appeal of the Caduce and combines it with the richness, ripeness, density and power of La Gargone, then ratchets up the level of body and power, resulting in a stunning wine that could easily be a cru classe given its perfume, richness and overall depth and equilibrium. This beauty can be drunk now or cellared for another 7-8 years. It, too, is a major sleeper of the vintage. - Robert Parker
