Wine Enthusiast - Wine Enthusiast, April 2012
Very herbaceous in character this is a wine that is packed with powerful acidity yet remains elegant in style. It has minerality and tight acidity and should benefit from aging. - R.V.

Very bright and engaging, with a chamomile note leading the way, followed by quinine, lemon zest and white peach flavors that bounce through the lively finish. Drink now through 2015. – JM

Fresh aromas of lime, white peach, minty herbs and white flowers. Shows almost tart flavors of white stone fruits and green apple, with lemon and mineral notes lingering nicely on the saliva-inducing finish. Very strong acidity conveys an almost tart impression, but this multilayered wine has enough stuffing to come around with a little bottle age. Very well done: this is an outstanding, affordable dry white Bordeaux, and firmer and more focused than some past vintages of Carbonnieux. 90+

Planted on deep gravel soils atop clay. Filled with lemon oil and grapefruit aromas plus loads of high-toned focused citrus. Hits the palate with clean bright and focused notes and shows a surprisingly long and vibrant finish with lots of crushed sea shell flavor and chalky minerality. Enjoy upon release and over the following 7-8 years.
