An impressively endowed effort with lots of minerality, blueberry and raspberry fruit, a noble set of aromatics, and an opaque ruby/purple color, the 2011 Clos Saint-Julien displays moderate tannin as well as a singular style. This distinctive, fascinating St.-Emilion will benefit from 3-4 years of cellaring and should keep for 15-20. - Robert Parker

This is 60 percent Cabernet Franc with the rest in Merlot. This shows a lovely density of ripe and rich fruit with raspberries and plums. Full and super silky. Outstanding for the vintage. Think about it.

Aromas of prune cassis licorice and truffle highlighted by smoky earth and spring flowers. The palate features lively acidity with low tannins. Dark chocolate and red fruits flavor the finish. Stephane Derenoncourt consults. Give this 2-3 years and enjoy over the following ten. Drink 2016-2026. Tasted twice.
