It has a complex nose of lime flower, quince and hazelnut that gains intensity in the glass. The palate is actually quite similar to the Porusots on the entry, but for me, the finish shows superior tension and poise. This is one of Dominique’s finest. Drink 2014-2028. - Neal Martin

Suave and fine-grained, displaying impressive intensity to its soft citrus and peach flavors. Lovely balance and perfume here. Silky, energetic and quite long, with the ripe peach flavor complicated by a touch of vanillin oak on the palate-saturating finish. This was bottled two days before my visit but I never would have guessed!

(BH91-93 points) Here again there is more ripeness in evidence which is consistent with the intrinsic character of these terroirs. This flirts with the exotic as there is a suggestion of mango to the dried apricot, peach and soft floral nuances that are trimmed in just enough wood toast to notice. There is extraordinary richness to the generous, round and enveloping medium weight plus flavors that possess not only excellent verve but also really lovely complexity on the palate coating finish. Goutte d'Or is often a bit heavy but this displays none of that quality.

The 2011 Meursault Goutte d'Or is beautiful, ample and resonant on the palate. A wine first and foremost of texture, the 2011 is virtually impossible to resist in its youth. A wine first and foremost of texture, the 2011 is virtually impossible to resist in its youth. Pear, white peach and a gentle hint of spice frame a creamy, ample finish. What a pretty Meursault this is.
