(AG90-92 points) The darker, richer side of Nuits comes through in the 2011 Nuits St. Georges Roncières. Fleshy, dark, and voluptuous, the 2011 is layered with dark cherries, spices, menthol and pine. There is a level of depth that is quite appealing. Firm muscular tannins frame the powerful finish.

(BH89-92 points) A discreet touch of oak sets off more elegant aromas of kirsch, sandalwood, anise and clove plus enough earth to remind you that you're very much in Nuits. There is good richness but also fine detail to the firm and serious yet refined flavors that offer a well-integrated tannic spine on the mouth coating finish. This is not quite as complex as the Pruliers, or at least it isn't at present, but the length is every bit as good.

Sexy, soil-inflected aromas of red fruits, smoke, tobacco and minerals. A step up in creaminess of texture from the Charmois, and in a somewhat softer style, showing gentle extraction and nicely integrated acidity. The elegant side of Nuits-Saint-Georges, finishing with suave tannins and no rough edges. "Nuits-Saint-George made by a Vosne-Romanee vigneron," admitted Grivot before I had a chance to say the same thing.
WS 90
Wine Spectator - Wine Spectator, June 2014
The supple texture is offset by a stern edge of tannins. The cherry, berry and earth notes squeeze in, yet this red retains intensity and a long finish. Improves with air. Best from 2017 through 2026. 50 cases imported. –BS
