The nose is so reduced that it defies evaluation. As with several of the other wines in the range there is excellent verve and freshness to the almost painfully intense medium weight plus flavors that possess an abundance of palate coating dry extract. The explosively long and impeccably well-balanced finish displays a bit of wood and as my description makes clear, this is in an awkward stage at present but the stellar quality of the underlying material, not to mention this wine's incredible track record, make for a compelling argument that it will come together in time.

Floral citrus notes and tropical fruit aromas and flavors highlight this intense, opulent white. Picks up lanolin and citronella accents midpalate before tightening up and turning more minerally on the finish. Best from 2016 through 2025. – BS
