Otherwise there is knockout intensity, indeed it is almost painful, to the mouth coating medium-bodied flavors where there is so much dry extract that there is a borderline chewy texture to the mid-palate. This sleekly muscled and powerful effort culminates in a driving lemon-infused finish that delivers stunning persistent. This is a really impressive wine that is well worth considering though one that will need a few years in the cellar first to fully harmonize. Sweet spot Outstanding ♥

There are three barrels of the 2011 Pouilly-Fuisse Les Champs, of which just one is new. It has a very pretty, aromatic bouquet of white peach, freshly sliced apricot and brioche that you could sit and inhale all day. Don’t do that. Just sip this gorgeous Pouilly-Fuisse with vibrant, slightly honeyed fruit, ginger, white pepper and yellow plum – powerful and intense, but equally elegant and graceful. The finish demonstrates wonderful persistency and precision. Excellent. - Neal Martin
