The 2011 Pouilly-Fuisse Vignes de la Cote has straight-down-the-line, no messin’ minerality on the nose that is just enthralling, lending it a quasi-Puligny allure but without the price tag. The palate is supremely well-balanced with a crisp citric thread. It is quite backward at the moment with subtle apricot and white peach notes, but one can already admire the focus, linearity and sheer breeding within this wine. Excellent. - Neal Martin
