From the well-known Ritchie Vineyard, planted with 31-year-old Old Wente clones of Chardonnay, the 2011 Chardonnay Chloe is spectacular. This opulent, flamboyant Chardonnay exhibits lots of white peach, apricot marmalade, honeysuckle and caramelized citrus. Full-bodied with underlying minerality along with terrific purity, texture and sumptuousness, this gorgeous white can be enjoyed over the next 4-5 years. - Robert Parker

Ripe, fruity and leaning in the direction of Golden Delicious apples, this nicely fruited young wine is the most classic of the DuMOL offerings in its focus of somewhat juicy fruit and creamy, slightly toasty oak. It is supple and balanced with a certain fullness that allows it to be open from front to back, and yet it has depth in reserve that will carry it for years under good cellaring conditions. Although delicious even now, it can only get better if allowed to rest for two to four years.
