Ms. Edwards's perennially successful Sauvignon Blancs typically claim a place at the very head of the class, and, in what was for many a difficult year, the 2011 shines once again. It is a deep and well-balanced approach to the grape that is lively and long on juicy, melon-like fruit with hard-to-miss herbaceousness and complementary oak completing a very rich and fairly complex picture. While an easy-to-taste wine, it is also a serious one, and it is has all right pieces to be an age-worthy Sauvignon that is worth seeking out.
