James Suckling - jamessuckling.com, April 2012
Soft and velvety wine with polished tannins and juicy acidity. Medium to full body. Wait and see how the mid-palate fills in.
Wine Spectator - Wine Spectator, April 2012
Juicy and direct with a brambly mix of raspberry and black currant liberally laced with taut anise and plum skin. A bit firm in the end but some good stuffing here.-J.M.

60% cabernet sauvignon and 40% merlot. A 40-hectare estate between Mouton and Lafite to the north and Batailley to the south. The wine is aged for 18-24 months in 30-40% new French oak. Deep purple in color the nose is very mineral driven as there are notes of graphite scorched earth and metal. This wine is super tight and needs quite a bit of coaxing to offer up any sort of bouquet. On the palate balanced acidity leads to a medium-length finish. This wine should age exceptionally well but really needs time to show its true potential. Virtually seamless I look forward to tasting this again. Enjoy 2017-2027.
