The mouth coating finish is actually no more complex than that of the Echézeaux though there is slightly better persistence. This too will require at least a decade of cellaring.

(92+) The 2011 Grands Echézeaux from Maison Louis Jadot is also a very well-made wine, delivering a fine bouquet of dark berries, black cherries, plums, raw cocoa, woodsmoke, dark soil tones and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and complex, with a suave attack, fine-grained tannins, very good mid-palate depth and excellent length and grip on the focused and classy finish.
