This is reduced but not so much that the ripeness of the underlying fruit isn't reasonably apparent. There is a silky, even satiny mouth feel to the solidly well-concentrated medium-bodied flavors that exude structure-buffering dry extract on the impressively long and mineral-inflected finish. This delivers a striking combination of finesse and power. Drink: 2023+ Don't miss! Outstanding ♥ (BH95-92)

Wild aromas of black raspberry, violet, smoke and musky roast coffee. Lush, sweet and dense, with intriguing stem elements adding interest to the flavors of black raspberry, minerals, licorice, flowers and peppery spices. This wine struck me as Gevrey-like on the nose and Vosne-like in the mouth. Terrific density of material here. Finishes with compelling sweetness and well-buffered tannins. Perrot-Minot noted that most of his "Ultra" wines go to the U.S. and Japan. (ST94-92)
