(92+) In 2011, choosing a favorite from these glorious Gevrey premier crus at Louis Jadot is going to be very difficult, as they are all exceptional. The 2011 Estournelles has no difficulties keeping the pace of the fine Lavaux and Petite Chapelle, offering up a lovely aromatic mélange of red and black cherries, grilled meat, espresso, herb tones, a fine base of dark soil nuances, woodsmoke and new oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very suave on the attack, with a fine core of fruit, ripe tannins, very good grip and focus and a long, youthful and beautifully delineated finish.
