The 2011 Pinot Noir Estate Arroyo Grande is a pretty, balanced wine that has beautiful fruit and solid complexity. Sweet red cherries, strawberry, dried spices and plenty of underbrush round out this medium-bodied, supple effort that should drink nicely for 5-6 years. Drink now-2019. - Jeb Dunnuck

This is a fine example of the Talley style. It’s close in quality to the single-vineyard bottlings, at about half the price. Dry, crisp with acidity and silky, it offers a wealth of cherry, cola, persimmon and rhubarb flavors with a sweet, smoky oak finish. Drink now.

An expressive nose of red cherry liqueur-like aromas is trimmed in subtle spice notes. There is good volume and solid mid-palate concentration to the utterly delicious and suave flavors that possess a dusty, balanced and lingering finale where there is a trace of warmth in evidence. This is not super complex but it is well-balanced and satisfying in its fashion. Note that this could easily be enjoyed now.

Fairly direct and always ample in fruit and recalling its similarly priced cellarmate from the Edna Valley as far as its roundness and slightly softer balance go, this fleshy, fairly easy-to-access offering comes across as being both rich and relatively frontal in manner. It may not be in danger of fading away anytime soon, yet it is a Pinot that we would definitely tag for drinking before too many years have passed.
