A pure expression of Sangiovese, the 2011 Perlato del Bosco is beautifully perfumed with accents of forest berry, red rose, candied cherry and dried lavender. The 2011 vintage definitely shows an elegant and feminine side with minute aromatic details that come into sharp focus as the wine airs in the glass. The mouthfeel is smooth and plump. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2022. - Monica Larner
Wine Enthusiast - Wine Enthusiast, January 2013
Aromas recall tilled soil, black berries and blue flower. The soft, plush palate offers plum, black cherry compote and black pepper alongside round tannins. It’s ready, so enjoy soon.

The slightly translucent garnet core fades to very slightly to the rim. The nose is screams Tusacn Sangiovese with its intense and classic earthiness. Red currant, bing cherry and raspberry are accentuated by freshly cut flowers, dried garrigue, and loads of earthiness. Medium to medium plus bodied the palate shows rounded tannins that are actually more elegant than expected from this warm vintage. The underlying acidity gives excellent balance to the great QPR wine. This is ready to drink and can be enjoyed over the next 5-7 years.
Wine & Spirits - Wine & Spirits, January 2013
The scent of fresh strawberries infuses this sangiovese with sweet fruit, the light tannins adding a peppery edge. It feels generous in its dark flavors, soft textures and length. A supple red for prime rib.
