his is wild and exotic with dried flowers, earth, spice and berry character. Full-bodied, dense and decadent with ripe and round tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Fabulous depth. So delicious now but will improve with four to five years of bottle age. I like this better than 2010.

The 2011 Barolo Campè Vürsù shows huge balsam intensity with a citrusy twist of candied lemon zest and dried apricot. I liked this wine as much as the 2012 vintage, but for very different reasons. This is a rounder and more exuberant expression that delivers fleshly richness and an important sense of textural heft. You can't mistake this wine for anything other than Nebbiolo from a warm growing season. - Monica Larner
