Pink grapefruit candied orange peel and smoked pork on the nose. Then rich and deep on the palate with noteworthy lift and precision to the flavors of tropical fruits minerals and flowers. Offers superb richness and depth as well as enough acidity to give shape to the wine. Impressively balanced and very long. -- Ian D'Agata

Dried tropical fruit with hints of spices and almonds. Full-bodied, very sweet and rich. Sweet pie crust and tea leaf too. Flavorful finish. Drink now.

Even more obviously sweet, confectionary and creamy than the corresponding Altenbourg, Weinbach's 2011 Gewurztraminer Furstentum nevertheless preserves admirable primary juiciness of melons, its heady aura of rose petal an obvious turn-on even if not comparable to the complexity of floral elements exhibited by its aforementioned sibling.
